After a short-lived winter, it appears that we are back in almost summer-like weather. I hope everyone has been able to get a round of golf in and enjoy the warmer temperatures.
The warmer weather has helped green the golf course up significantly over the past few weeks. An added benefit of this is some of the high traffic areas have started to recover. The maintenance staff has added extra fertilizer along with implementing some cultural practices to help with the recovery process in these areas. We still ask that everyone be mindful of the worn areas and try to keep traffic to a minimum in them.
With the arrival of tournament season, the maintenance staff has been working hard to have the course in the best shape possible. A lot of effort has been placed in to getting the speed of the greens faster and make sure they are rolling true. I hope everyone is pleased with the results.
Please enjoy the rest of the tournament season, and I look forward to seeing you on the course.
